This is a home that does not pretend to be something it’s not. Instead, we filled the house with’ gloss and glam’, from wall treatments to cushions, flooring to objets d’art. A textured ivory rug demarcates the living space from the rest of the large room. Bordered with black, this effortlessly creates an area within a space, adding a more cosy element to the otherwise imposing interiors. White marble floors flecked with grey set the cool backdrop for gold-rimmed furniture. Two ivory armchairs encircled with gilt frames face two plush couches. A white fur throw and some tan and gold cushions break up the monotony of the colour palette and add those little touches of grandeur.
The lighting was specially chosen to reflect the customer’s love of luxury. Shimmering crystals woven into a golden helix are placed over the living and dining areas. If you look closer, the designs are subtly different, but the overall effect is the same — that of a deluxe, lavish lifestyle.
Gold objets d’art, such as gilt birds splayed against one wall, and photo frames and candle stands gleaming around the room. A blindfolded marble bust offers a humorous break in the seriousness of the rest of the decor.
The large marble dining table with bronze pedestal legs is the centre of attention. Surrounded by textured rexin dining chairs, the table seats eight people. Mirrored wall panels rimmed in gold. Flanked by ivory-panelled wall treatments, everything works towards one singular goal: luxurious unabashed opulence.
We have used indoor plants sparingly throughout the home. This green element adds a freshness and introduces a natural element echoed in the wooden touches interspersed throughout. The wooden repurposed tree trunk coffee table is a natural element that prevents the home from being too glam and ‘untouchable’.
The kitchen is a modern space that continues the theme of living in the lap of luxury. Every detail from the mirror tile splashback, the glossy marble countertops, the brass fittings, and the neutral wood accents create a premium feel.
This kitchen is fitted with the best. A double sink takes up space on one side. Its metallic gloss is accented with large faucets. The splashback wall expands the room considerably, and the glass-fronted cabinets add to the aura of expanse.
Concealed and track lighting merge seamlessly through the room, providing a subtle yet sleek workspace. Recessed spotlights draw the eye to crucial decor elements such as the black inbuilt stove and the fitted microwave/ oven. There is no clutter and chaos. The kitchen space is classy and high-end in all aspects. The house has 3.5 bedrooms – one master, one bedroom for the mother, one guest room, and the half room works as the den/ entertainment room.
These are bedrooms fit for royalty. The master bedroom boasts a gold four-poster bed. This bed is opulent and inviting, surrounded by gauze curtains that add to the privacy and a pink blush padded headboard. The bed linen is rich and highlighted with textured cushions in dull gold and devore velvet. The vibe is extravagant and indulgent but also deeply comfortable and inviting. This is not a cold, sterile bedroom space but one that encourages openness and conversation.
